We are delighted to announce that Thomas Williams is the winner of the 32nd Annual ESACT-UK in meeting. Thomas delivered a presentation on “Quantifying functional lentiviral vector loss to transduction and auto-transduction during viral vector manufacturing bioprocesses”. Thomas is a 2nd year PhD student at UCL undertaking his project at his industrial collaborator sponsor site Oxford Biomedica.

Supporting and empowering early career researchers is at the core of ESACT-UK’s activity, and the 2022 meeting was no exception. We had some exceptional talks throughout the session and after an extremely tight judges decision, Thomas was awarded the prize for the best presentation. Many congratulations to Tom!
